Monday, June 23rd, 2014Look out for flying darts! Our newest pan tilt turret accessory is now available: the Foam Dart Gun Kit. If you want to add a little fun and firepower to your robot turret (or any other project) you’ll love this foam dart gun kit. The included single shot dart gun packs quite a punch, with a typical range of about 30 feet! After a little projectile motion calculation, we estimate the average dart speed to be 40-50 feet/second.

Introducing the Desktop Robot Turret!
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010We’re proud to introduce the first of many products on the horizon, the Desktop Robot Turret! This Pan & Tilt platform is based around the custom designed Arduino-Compatible MosquitIO microcontroller!
The Desktop Robot Turret is the perfect starting point for experimenters, roboticists, and hobbyists alike to get started in the exciting field of physical computing! This easy to build kit is based around the exclusive MosquitIO Pan & Tilt Microcontroller and includes everything needed to build a fully programmable, Arduino-compatible Pan & Tilt platform. Add webcams, lasers, airsoft guns, a variety of sensors to the available I/O, up to two small motors, and switch things on and off with the built-in solid-state relay! The MosquitIO can also be custom programmed using the Arduino IDE for autonomous behavior using sensory input, or a variety of other custom applications- your imagination is the limit!
We are also working with Roborealm for a fully supported module for the MosquitIO, but for those of you who can’t wait; We’ve created a preliminary colored object tracking demo using Roborealm. Stay tuned for a full-featured Roborealm Module as well as special packaged deals!
InventGeek’s Paintball Turret = Awesome
Monday, March 2nd, 2009Funny I found this, because I was just thinking that if (when) the Zombie Armageddon hits, I’d need to fortify my Costco fortress (find your own) with some automatic turrets capable of firing zombie repellent, and what better project to detail building exactly that?
InventGeek.com has painstakingly detailed all of their most excellent work that went into building this beauty, and while we have seen a paintball turret pop up over the years, none have even come close to such an elegant execution. Complete parts lists and even the ability to purchase the acrylic parts are available, so you too can build your very own “Zombie Repellent Paintball Turret” to fortify your “Post-Zombie Armageddon Costco Fortress” (dibs on the one by my office!).
