Announcement: Trossen Robotics Community Contest Prize

After the incredible projects and hard time we had deciding on the winners, we needed a quick cool down from the last Trossen Robotics Community (TRC) contest!

However, we are now ready to announce the prizes and dates for this round in the TRC Contest. We’ve decided to do something a little different for this round; instead of offering cold hard cash, we’re going to be offering what else? Robots!! Yes, act soon and if you get your project in before July 31th 2008, you can win your very own Robot:)

Ok, all cheesiness aside, here are the prizes for this round’s TRC Contest:

    I guess I’ll be the first to comment - I really can’t believe that we go from the phoenix which along with the V5 from Micromagic are truly setting the forefront of robotics engineering to the crustcrawler servo arm which well honestly seems very 1990 (ok thats not fair its more like 1996). Am I missing something remotely special about that arm?

    These are the prizes, not the entries. Phoenix was first prize in our last competition who was awarded a gift certificate to TR. This time round, we decided to offer robots instead of gift certificates.

    Plus, if the person who wins first prize doesn’t want the arm, then they can still use the servos and PSC, which are valued at over $500.
