We have seen some of these kind of interactive displays at some of the shows we have been to. It’s facinating to wonder how this technology will integrate itself into our lives. There are some bars that have using similar technology so far for a cool lighting effect.

That’s nice. I can see there being a market for interactive table surfaces, not only to display fun animation effects like this but also to display useful information in conference rooms or on a breakfast table at home (eg. “don’t forget to buy groceries”).

Yes, I love this stuff. The only problem with this stuff right now is that it all relies on cameras and that means large setups. You have to have the correct space and angle to set it all up.
So far I have only seen this in demos and bars/clubs. There’s another one out there that interacts on small square tables with anything that happens over it. The camera is on the ceiling and the projector underneath.
