We here at Trossen Robotics are pleased to announce that we now carry Bioloid kits and components. When we discovered this line, we were so impressed that we knew we had to make it available to you! Bioloid is a very impressive modular robotics system. One of the most exciting features is the smart, serially controlled components.
Servos and sensor modules are daisy-chained, so the wiring confusion that often comes with complex designs, like humanoids and multi-legged crawlers, is greatly simplified. The convenience of serial wiring isn’t the only advantage to these smart servos. They also report a number of useful variables back to the controller, such as servo position, temperature, and input voltage.
Not enough environmental feedback for you? Plug an AX-S1 Sensing Module into the chain, and you’ve got IR range sensing in 3 directions, a microphone, a piezo speaker, and an IrDA receiver.
Couple these features with an impressive (and FREE) software bundle, a powerful and flexible controller, and a wide array of brackets for mounting and connecting modules, and you’ve got one very powerful robotics system that all of your friends will be jealous of.
